Burial Grounds

The plains around Nasca are also home a number of inca burial grounds. This cemetary is about 500 years old and the bodies here are exceptionally well preserved by the minerals in the ground and also helped by the fact that these plains only recieve between 8 and 10 hours of rain a year! The hair of these bodies are real as are the clothes, the incas would rub pimento onto them so that insects would not attack them.
