Lake Titicaca is the worlds highest navigable lake (3830m above sea level), over 170km in length and 60km in width. According to legend this is where the first Inca Manco Capac, son of the god Inti emerged.
Island of the Sun & of the Moon
The most famous Island on Lake Titicaca is Isla del Sol, the legendary birthplace of Manco Capac and his sister-wife Mama Huaca. Both Islands are very spiritual and it is said the Incas created both the sun and the moon there. Of course they did.
